Long-time client Chase Bank has continued their expansion in the Albany, NY MSA. Getting a branch in ideal location in Rotterdam, NY was a long journey. We regularly searched for new listings, spoke with other brokers to find pocket listings, and checked with landlords for properties with leases expiring. Finding a viable site was only half the challenge though, as the site Donovan RES found required the purchase and consolidation of multiple parcels by a developer who would then ground lease to Chase Bank.
In the end, the Donovan RES team was able to thread the needle and provide Chase Bank with a parcel large enough for them to build a new branch. We did this with our well-oiled communication processes, which allowed us to lead moving this site through internal and external approvals and reviews.
